PROCESS
FEATURES
CONSER
offers technology for the complete design (Basic Process Book) of Middle
distillate HDS units.
The CONSER process is supported by a relevant experience and know how
in HDS units design and by a deep knowledge of the performances of proven
catalysts in different operating conditions.
CONSER experience covers also VGO HDS/Mild Hydrocracking operation.
In addition to the complete design of new units, HDS projects carried-out
by CONSER typically include the following:
- Debottlenecking
and modernization studies
- Improvement
of performances to meet gasoil specifications (sulfur, cetane, aromatics)
- Selection of
optimum catalyst
- Design for feedstocks
ranging from 100% straight-run to 100% cracked gasoil
- Influence of
hydrogen purity

PROCESS
DESCRIPTION
Fresh
feedstock is mixed with hydrogen rich gas and heated to the reaction
temperature by heat recovery from reactor effluent and in a fired heater.
The reactor effluent is partially condensed. The gas phase is separated,
purified by amine washing and recycled to the reaction section. The
liquid phase is preheated and fed to a stripping column where unstabilized
naphtha is separated from desulphurized/denitrogenated gasoil product.
